Exchange Online
Email migration, mail flow architecture, and the retention and protection controls that email actually needs.
Email remains the highest-risk system most organizations run. It is the primary route in for attackers, the primary subject of retention obligations, and the first thing anyone notices when it breaks.
We treat mail as infrastructure rather than a commodity — designing mail flow, authentication, retention, and protection deliberately instead of accepting whatever the migration wizard produced.
Outcomes
- Migration completed with no lost mail and no extended downtime
- SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured and actually enforcing
- Retention and archiving matched to your obligations
- Mail flow documented, including every connector and exception
Capabilities
How we approach it
Migration and coexistence
Cutover, staged, and hybrid migrations from on-premises Exchange, Google Workspace, or IMAP sources. Where coexistence is required, we design it explicitly rather than leaving a permanent hybrid nobody intended.
Mail flow and authentication
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured and moved to enforcement on a staged schedule. A DMARC record set to none protects nobody — the value is in getting to reject without breaking legitimate senders.
Retention and archiving
Retention policies, litigation hold, and archiving sized to what you are actually obliged to keep. Over-retention is a liability in its own right, not a safe default.
Threat protection
Anti-phishing, safe links, and safe attachment policies tuned to your environment, with quarantine handling that administrators can actually work through.

FAQ
Common questions
Can you migrate without users losing access to mail?
Yes. Staged and hybrid approaches keep mail flowing throughout. Brief cutover windows are usually scheduled outside business hours, and users typically notice only a client reconfiguration prompt.
Do we still need third-party email security?
Sometimes, but far less often than vendors suggest. Microsoft's built-in protection is capable when configured properly. We assess what you are paying for separately and whether it is genuinely adding coverage.
What happens to mailboxes for staff who leave?
Converting to a shared mailbox preserves the contents at no licensing cost and frees the seat. Leaving licensed mailboxes assigned to departed staff is one of the most common sources of waste we find.
