Are Power Platform licences included with Microsoft 365?
Microsoft 365 includes limited Power Apps and Power Automate rights restricted to data within the tenant. Premium connectors and Dataverse require standalone licensing.
Should we let staff build their own applications?
Generally yes, within a governed environment. The productivity gain is real. What is not sustainable is business-critical processes running in an application only one person understands, in their personal environment.
How do we stop shadow IT?
By making the governed path easier than the ungoverned one. Restrictive policies without a sanctioned alternative reliably push people toward tools you cannot see at all.
